Mental Arbitrage

"The mentality of sufficiency creates its own efficiencies, just as the mentality of scarcity creates its own waste."

To clarify, what I meant is that sometimes the right move to make follows from finding the right design perspective or motto to adopt at any given moment. Sometimes the best and least we can do is to listen and learn, sometimes the best and least we can do is to hammer out a design or implementation detail before proceeding.

To be active, passive, engaged or disengaged at any time is a choice that relies upon relative value judgments depending on circumstances. Like any choice, it must be a conscious one if it is to be in control.
